Skittles shots are a delicious cocktail made with five different liquors: vodka, melon liqueur (such as Midori), pineapple juice, Southern Comfort, and sweet and sour mix. It has a fruity flavor that is reminiscent of the popular candy Skittles.
This shot is perfect for parties or even just a fun after-dinner treat. It’s also surprisingly easy to make and only takes a few minutes to prepare!
Where Did I First Try skittles shot?
When I bought a packet of Skittles from Amazon, I wanted to try a colorful shot recipe like it. So, I started looking for some recipes and stumbled upon the Skittles shot.
It was a combination of vodka, melon liqueur (such as Midori), pineapple juice, Southern Comfort, and sweet and sour mix- all five of which complemented each other perfectly to give the taste of Skittles!
To make the recipe, I collected all the ingredients and followed the instructions mentioned in the recipes. It was quite easy and didn’t take much time. I decided to use a shaker, as it would make the drink mix together more easily.
After taking the first sip, I could taste all the ingredients in my shot. The vodka imparted its strong taste, while the melon liqueur added a hint of sweetness and tanginess to the drink. The pineapple juice gave the shot a tropical flavor, while Southern Comfort provided a nice smoky note to it.
Lastly, the sweet and sour mix added a touch of tartness that balanced everything out.
My friends were also quite impressed by my Skittles shot. Everyone asked me how I made it and after telling them, they said they would definitely try it at home.
I was so glad I tried the recipe, as it turned out to be really good. I had never thought a combination of five different liquors could taste this good!

Step 2
Shake all the ingredients together for 30 seconds so that the flavors can mix with each other and chill.
Step 3

What Ingredients Can I Replace or Substitute While Making It?
If you don’t have any ingredients on hand, you can easily substitute them. For instance, if you don’t have melon liqueur, you can use Triple Sec, Blue Curaçao, or any other orange-flavored liqueur.
Again, if you don’t have Southern Comfort, you can replace it with peach schnapps or simple syrup.
And if you don’t have a sweet and sour mix, add an ounce of lemon juice instead.
