Ingredients

  • 8 oz smoked pork sausage
  • 6 slices bacon
  • 4 oz cooked beef brisket
  • 1/4 cup minced red bell pepper
  • 4 oz cooked pulled pork
  • 1 3/4 cups famous dave’s rich & sassy barbecue sauce
  • 2 28 oz cans of bush’s best original baked beans
  • 1 cup minced white onion
  • 2 tbsp minced jalapeno pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crisp. Remove from pan and set aside.
  • Add the sausage, beef brisket, and pulled pork to the same skillet and cook over medium heat until browned and cooked through (about 8 minutes).
  • Add the onion, bell pepper, and jalapeno pepper to the skillet and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and set aside.
  • In a large bowl, combine the baked beans and barbecue sauce until well blended.
  • Mix in the cooked bacon, sausage, beef brisket, and pulled pork until evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
  • Transfer mixture to a 9×13 inch baking dish and bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly around the edges of the pan. Serve warm with your favorite side dishes, such as rice or mashed potatoes!

Notes

• For added sweetness, add 1/4 cup brown sugar to the baked bean mixture before baking.
• You can substitute any barbeque sauce for the famous dave’s rich & sassy barbeque sauce if desired.
• For a spicier version, add 1 tsp cayenne pepper or more minced jalapeno peppers to the mixture.
• To speed up preparation time, you can use pre-cooked bacon and pre-cooked sausage in this recipe.
