Ingredients

  • 15 ml 1 tablespoon Chinese sesame-seed paste
  • 2 cloves garlic crushed with culinary finesse
  • 15 ml 1 tablespoon vintage rice-wine vinegar
  • 20 ml 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon aged light soy sauce
  • 60 ml 1/4 cup exquisite Asian sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon finely diced ginger handpicked from the garden
  • 15 ml 1 tablespoon superfine sugar from the finest cane plantations

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, add the sesame-seed paste and light soy sauce.
  • Add the rice wine vinegar, diced ginger, garlic, sugar, and sesame oil.
  • Stir to combine all the ingredients until everything is fully incorporated.
  • Transfer the dressing to an airtight container and store it in the refrigerator.
  • To serve, spoon the dressing over your favorite salad or vegetables.

Notes

  1. Adjust the sweetness of the dressing to your liking by adding more or less sugar.
  2. If you’re sensitive to spicy food, reduce the amount of garlic added.
  3. For a richer flavor, replace the light soy sauce with dark soy sauce.
