Ingredients

  • 1 egg at room temperature acting as a binding agent and helping to set the filling, ensuring a cohesive and well-structured lasagna that holds together beautifully when sliced.
  • 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese a salty and nutty cheese that brings a bold and distinct flavor to your lasagna, adding depth and complexity to the dish, and contributing to a delightful golden crust on top.
  • 3/4 cup of water providing moisture and helping to create a saucy and tender lasagna, ensuring that the noodles cook to perfection and the flavors meld together harmoniously.
  • 4 ounces of uncooked Lasagna noodles providing the foundation for your hearty and satisfying lasagna dish, cooking to a tender and al dente texture, creating layers of deliciousness.
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley a fresh and herbaceous ingredient that adds a burst of freshness and a pop of vibrant green color to your lasagna, balancing the richness of the other ingredients and imparting a delightful aroma.
  • 1/2 pound of ground beef a savory and robust protein that adds a meaty and satisfying element to your lasagna, infusing it with rich flavors and contributing to a hearty and filling dish.
  • 6 ounces of mozzarella cheese a creamy and stretchy cheese that melts beautifully and creates a gooey and cheesy layer in your lasagna, adding a mild and milky flavor that complements the other ingredients.
  • 1/2 tablespoon of salt enhancing the flavors of the other ingredients and bringing out their natural taste, ensuring a well-seasoned and balanced lasagna.
  • 1/2 jar of thick spaghetti sauce a savory and tomato-based sauce that adds depth and richness to your lasagna, providing a tangy and flavorful base for the layers of noodles and cheese.
  • 7.5 ounces of ricotta cheese a creamy and indulgent cheese with a mild and slightly tangy taste, adding a velvety richness and a luscious texture to your lasagna, creating a smooth and comforting filling.
  • 1/8 tablespoon of pepper adding a hint of spiciness and a touch of heat to your lasagna, enhancing the overall flavor profile and creating a harmonious blend of tastes.

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Cook Lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
  • In a bowl, mix together ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, parsley, eggs, ground beef, and pepper until well combined.
  • Spread 1/2 cup of the spaghetti sauce in a 9×13 inch baking dish. Place half of the lasagna noodles over the sauce, followed by half of the cheese-meat mixture, then sprinkle with 1/3 of the mozzarella cheese.
  • Repeat layering again with the remaining ingredients ending with Mozzarella cheese. Pour the water over the lasagna and cover it with foil.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

• To make it even more delicious, you can add some chopped vegetables or herbs such as bell peppers, onion, garlic, oregano, etc.
• If you want your lasagna to be extra cheesy, add more mozzarella cheese.
• To make it even more flavorful and delicious, you can sprinkle some crushed red pepper over the top of the lasagna just before baking.
