Ingredients

  • Ice adding a refreshing chill to the cocktail, keeping it cool and invigorating, ensuring a crisp and enjoyable drinking experience.
  • 4 oz of strawberry syrup a sweet and luscious syrup made from ripe strawberries, imparting a vibrant and fruity essence to the cocktail, providing a delightful burst of sweetness and a beautiful pink hue.
  • Fresh lemon and strawberries for garnishing elevating the visual appeal of the cocktail, with the lemon releasing a tangy and citrusy aroma, while the strawberries contribute a vibrant and enticing touch.
  • 1 cup of water used in the preparation of the strawberry syrup, facilitating the extraction of flavors from the strawberries and creating a smooth and syrupy consistency that blends seamlessly with the other ingredients, adding a luscious and velvety texture to the cocktail.
  • 8 oz of champagne a luxurious and effervescent sparkling wine that adds a celebratory and lively element to the cocktail, creating an elegant and festive drink.
  • 1.5 pounds of strawberries fresh and succulent, offering juicy and sweet flavors that enhance the overall taste, providing a delightful burst of fruity freshness and a delightful texture to the cocktail.
  • 4 oz of Hennessy a premium cognac known for its smooth and sophisticated flavor profile, infusing the cocktail with a rich and velvety undertone, adding depth and complexity to the flavors.

Instructions

  • Start by making the strawberry syrup. In a medium saucepan, combine the strawberries, water, and sugar. Turn the heat to medium-high and bring it to a boil. Once boiling, reduce heat to low and let simmer for 10 minutes or until the strawberries are very soft.
  • Mash the cooked strawberries using either a potato masher or an immersion blender. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve, discarding any solids. Set aside to cool before using.
  • Fill a glass with crushed ice and pour in 4 oz of champagne followed by 2 oz of Hennessy and 2 oz of strawberry syrup. Stir gently with a spoon until combined.
  • Garnish the drink with a slice of lemon and a strawberry. Serve immediately and enjoy.

Notes

  • If you’d like to make your own strawberry syrup at home, simply substitute the store-bought version with the recipe outlined in step 1.
  • If you’d like to make the drink a bit sweeter, add a teaspoon of sugar or simple syrup.
  • If you’d prefer a more traditional taste, feel free to omit the strawberry syrup and use 1 oz of simple syrup instead.
