  • 8 large eggs offering a creamy and velvety texture when cooked, providing a protein-packed element to the sandwich.
  • 8 slices of American cheese melting into a gooey and comforting layer, creating a creamy and cheesy sensation.
  • 1 pound of shaved steak delivering a tender and juicy meaty element, perfect for a hearty and satisfying meal.
  • 4 plain bagels or flavor of choice, serving as the foundation for this delicious sandwich and providing a satisfying chewy texture.
  • 2 teaspoons of salt divided, enhancing the taste of each ingredient and bringing out their natural flavors.
  • 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce infusing the steak with a savory and tangy flavor, enhancing its overall taste.
  • 2 small onions thinly sliced, adding a sweet and caramelized flavor to the dish, bringing a delightful contrast to the savory components.
  • 4 ounces 8 tablespoons of unsalted butter, divided, providing a rich and creamy base for cooking and adding a luscious and indulgent flavor to the dish.
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder adding a rich and aromatic garlic essence to the dish, elevating its flavor profile.
  • 1 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper adding a bold and aromatic kick that complements the other savory elements.

  • Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the onion, salt, and pepper. Cook until onions are soft, about 5 minutes.
  • Increase the heat to medium-high and add the steak to the pan. Saute for 4-5 minutes, or until the steak is browned and cooked through.
  • Add the Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and remaining butter to the pan. Stir to combine. Meanwhile, cut the bagels in half and place them on a baking sheet. Bake for 3 minutes or until lightly toasted.
  • Heat a separate skillet over medium-high heat. Crack the eggs into the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until desired doneness is achieved.
  • Place one egg on each bagel half, followed by cheese slices and steak slices. Top with remaining bagel halves and serve with steak sauce.

  • Make sure to preheat the oven to 350°F before baking the bagels.
  • Use a spatula to flip the steak when sautéing.
  • If you prefer your eggs cooked more thoroughly, cook them for an extra minute or two.
  • The sandwich can be served with ketchup and hot sauce for an extra kick.
  • If the cheese isn't melted enough, place the sandwich in a toaster oven before serving.
