Instructions

  • Clean and devein the shrimp.
  • Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add onion and cook until softened.
  • Add the shrimp, Old Bay seasoning, and onion powder to the pan. Cook for 5–7 minutes or until pink in color.
  • In another pan over medium heat, heat the tortillas until lightly golden.
  • Assemble tacos by adding shrimp mix, cheese, sour cream, salsa, cilantro, and green onion into each taco. Serve with diced tomatoes and wedges of lime.
  • Slice avocado and add to tacos as desired.

Notes

• You can also add other ingredients to your tacos, depending on your preference, such as jalapeños, cumin, chili powder, or garlic.
• If you are using frozen shrimp for this recipe, thaw it in the fridge overnight before cooking.
• If you don’t have Old Bay seasoning, use other spices such as smoked paprika, garlic powder, or cayenne pepper.
• To make the tacos even more flavorful, try roasting the shrimp and onions in the oven for a few minutes before adding them to the tacos.
