Ingredients

  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt enhancing the flavors of the chicken and other ingredients, ensuring a well-seasoned and balanced dish.
  • 1/2 tablespoon of sugar offering a touch of sweetness that balances the other flavors in the dish, creating a harmonious blend of sweet and savory.
  • 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce a tangy and savory condiment, adding depth and complexity to the dish with its umami flavors, enhancing the overall taste profile.
  • 1/2 teaspoon of poultry seasoning a blend of aromatic herbs and spices, infusing the dish with a delightful and nostalgic poultry flavor, reminiscent of classic comfort food.
  • 1/8 teaspoon of black pepper providing a warm and earthy flavor, adding depth and a hint of spiciness to the dish.
  • 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar providing a bright and tangy acidity that cuts through the richness of the chicken, adding a refreshing element to the overall taste.
  • 1 lb of tender and lean boneless skinless chicken breast providing a generous amount of protein for a hearty and satisfying meal, while also being versatile enough to absorb the flavors of the marinade.
  • 1/8 teaspoon of white pepper adding a mild heat and subtle floral notes to the dish, contributing to a well-rounded flavor profile.
  • 1/8 tablespoons of vegetable oil or avocado oil acting as a medium for cooking and adding a subtle richness to the dish, ensuring the chicken stays moist and flavorful.
  • 1/2 teaspoon of celery salt adding a savory and slightly herbal taste, enhancing the overall flavor profile with its unique combination of celery and salt.
  • 1 clove of garlic crushed, releasing its aromatic and pungent flavors when minced or crushed, infusing the dish with a robust and savory taste that complements the other ingredients.

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, combine the oil, vinegar, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, white pepper, salt, black pepper, and sugar. Mix until everything is combined.
  • Add the poultry seasoning and celery salt and mix again to incorporate all of the ingredients.
  • Place your chicken pieces in a shallow, non-reactive dish (such as a glass or ceramic baking dish) and pour the marinade over the chicken. Cover with plastic wrap, and place in the refrigerator for at least one hour to allow the flavors of the marinade to penetrate into the chicken.
  • Preheat your oven or grill to 375°F/190°C. Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard any unused marinade. Place the chicken on a baking sheet or grill, and cook until an instant-read thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the chicken reads 165°F/74°C (about 30 minutes in an oven).
  • Your delicious Chiavetta’s Chicken Marinade is ready to eat. Serve in a nice dish with your favorite sides.

Notes

• Make sure to discard any unused marinade, as it can contain bacteria that can make you sick.
• If you like a stronger flavor, double the number of ingredients in the marinade.
• Marinate your chicken for at least one hour but not more than 24 hours.
