Ingredients

  • 1/8 tablespoons of soy sauce providing a salty and savory element that complements the other ingredients.
  • 1/2 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper imparting a bold and peppery taste that enhances the overall seasoning.
  • 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes optional, offering a hint of heat and a touch of spiciness to your dish.
  • 1/8 tablespoons of tangy Worcestershire sauce adding a savory and umami depth of flavor to your recipe.
  • 1/2 cup of creamy and rich unsalted butter providing a velvety and indulgent base for your recipe.
  • 1.5 cloves of garlic minced (round to 1 or 2 cloves), adding a pungent and aromatic flavor that elevates the dish.

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low-medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and black pepper to the pan and stir until fragrant but not browned (about 1 minute).
  • Add the Worcestershire sauce and soy sauce to the pan and increase heat to medium-high.
  • Bring the sauce to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and stir in red pepper flakes (if using). Let cool before serving or transferring to an airtight container for storage.

Notes

  • If you don’t have Worcestershire sauce, you can substitute it with a mixture of balsamic vinegar and tamari.
  • If you want a spicier version of the Original Zip Sauce, add more red pepper flakes or use a hotter variety.
  • Add some freshly chopped herbs like parsley or cilantro for an extra fresh flavor.
