Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup of protein powder the flavor of your choice, enriching the popcorn with an additional protein boost while infusing it with a delicious and customizable taste.
  • 4 tablespoons of sugar-free maple syrup offering a delightful sweetness without the added sugar, making it a guilt-free indulgence.
  • 2 bags of popcorn providing a satisfying crunch and the perfect base for this delectable treat.
  • 2/3 cup of IMO syrup such as vita fiber, a low-calorie and high-fiber alternative sweetener that adds a smooth and velvety texture to the mixture.

Instructions

  • Place a bag of popcorn in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 2 minutes on high.
  • In a separate small bowl, combine the maple syrup, IMO syrup, and protein powder; stir until everything is combined.
  • When the popcorn is finished cooking, add the syrup mixture to the hot popcorn and mix with a spatula or wooden spoon.
  • Place the bowl in the microwave and cook on high for an additional minute. Stir together to combine the syrup mixture with the popcorn, then allow to cool before serving.

Notes

  • Be sure to stir the syrup mixture well before adding it to the popcorn, as this will ensure that all of the ingredients are evenly distributed.
  • For an extra crunchy texture, add a few tablespoons of melted butter or oil to the popcorn before cooking.
  • Alternatively, you can make Doucette Popcorn on the stovetop. Heat a large pot over medium-high heat and add the popcorn kernels. Cover with a lid and shake occasionally until all of the popcorn is popped about 5 minutes. Then proceed as directed with Steps 2-4.
