Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, combine brown sugar and melted butter.
Add eggs, vanilla extract, and salt, and mix until smooth.
Gently stir in the pecans until coated.
Pour the filling into an unbaked pie shell and smooth the top.
Place the pie on a baking sheet and bake for 40-50 minutes until set and slightly puffed.
Let the pie cool to set the filling.
