In a pot, bring 3 cups of water to a boil. Once boiling, stir in the grits and reduce heat to low. Cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Once done, add chopped nuts and cinnamon and mix well.
Meanwhile, prepare the Milk Mixture by adding milk, sugar, and raisins to a pot. Simmer over medium heat and reduce when it starts simmering. Keep stirring occasionally.
Combine the cooked grits with the Milk Mixture and mix well. Simmer for 5 minutes on low heat. Take off the heat and stir in melted butter. Mash bananas into the mixture and mix until incorporated.
Serve the Banana Grits with extra nuts and raisins on top for garnish. Enjoy this flavorful, comforting breakfast dish!
