Equipment

Ingredients

  • 3 large Russet potatoes peeled and cut into glorious wedges
  • 1/2 tablespoon of freshly ground black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon of aromatic paprika
  • 1 tablespoon of savory garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon of kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon of fragrant dried parsley

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Cut the potatoes in wedge shape.
  • Rinse the potato wedges thoroughly and dry them with a kitchen towel.
  • Put the potato wedges in a large bowl and add the olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and dried parsley. Toss until all of the potatoes are evenly coated with the seasonings.
  • Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or foil and spread the potato wedges on it in one layer.
  • Bake for 25 minutes, flipping the potatoes over halfway through to ensure even cooking.
  • When done, remove from the oven and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For a crispier potato wedge, try baking at 425°F (220°C).
  • You can also shallow fry the potatoes in hot oil instead of baking them. 
  • Fry for about 5 minutes per side until golden brown.
