Equipment

Ingredients

  • 2 oz. Triple Sec Liqueur
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Mint Leaves
  • 1 Lemon Slice
  • 3 cups Carlo Rossi Sangria
  • 1 cup Lemon-Lime Soda or Club Soda
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon to add a subtle, warming spice
  • 2 oz. E&J VSOP Brandy
  • 2 Orange Slices
  • 1 Peach Slice or Apple Slice

Instructions

Step 1: Gather Your Ingredients

  • First, make sure you have all your ingredients ready. Trust me, it’s better to measure everything out beforehand. It saves you from the last-minute scrambling.

Step 2: Prepare the Fruit and Herbs

  • Chop your orange and peach (or apple) into thin slices. You’ll also want to pluck a healthy amount of fresh mint leaves. The fruit and herbs are vital because they infuse the drink with natural flavors.

Step 3: Mix the Base

  • In a large pitcher, pour in 3 cups of Carlo Rossi Sangria. Add 2 oz of Triple Sec Liqueur and 2 oz of E&J VSOP Brandy. These spirits will elevate the sangria, giving it a nice, rounded body.

Step 4: Add the Fruit and Herbs

  • Toss in your orange slices, peach slice, lemon slice, and 1/4 cup of fresh mint leaves. Stir gently to mix. The fruit slices not only make the sangria look inviting but also add extra layers of flavor.

Step 5: Sprinkle Cinnamon

  • Add 1/2 tsp of cinnamon. Give it a good stir. This spice might seem unusual, but it’s the secret ingredient that ties everything together. It adds warmth and a subtle complexity to the sangria.

Step 6: Chill and Serve

  • Before serving, let the sangria sit in the refrigerator for at least an hour. This allows the flavors to meld beautifully. When you’re ready to serve, pour the sangria into glasses filled with ice, and top each glass with a splash of lemon-lime soda or club soda for that fizzy finish.

Notes

  • Triple Sec Liqueur: This orange-flavored liqueur is a staple in many cocktails. Its citrus essence balances the sweetness of the sangria.
  • Fresh Mint Leaves: Fresh mint imparts a refreshing aroma and taste that elevates the drink.
  • Lemon Slice: Adds a zesty tang that cuts through the sweetness.
  • Carlo Rossi Sangria: Acts as the base, bringing a well-balanced fruity and sweet flavor.
  • Lemon-Lime Soda/Club Soda: Provides a fizzy, refreshing finish.
  • Cinnamon: Adds a warming spice, making the drink more complex.
  • E&J VSOP Brandy: This brandy enhances the richness and depth of the sangria.
  • Orange and Peach Slices: These fruits infuse the drink with natural sweetness and vibrant summer flavors.
