Equipment

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces of fresh button mushrooms
  • 1.5 tablespoons of creamy rich butter, divided into 1 tablespoon and 1/2 tablespoon
  • 3/8 cup of crisp breadcrumbs approximately 1/4 cup
  • 1 tablespoon of optional extra virgin olive oil
  • The juice from 1/4 of a zesty lemon
  • 5/8 cup of a delightful Italian cheese blend divided into 1/2 cup and 2 tablespoons
  • 1.5 cloves of pungent garlic
  • 5/16 cup of high-quality white wine divided into 1/4 cup and 1 tablespoon
  • 1/4 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 1.5 sprigs of fresh green onions
  • 1/4 teaspoon of fine salt to taste

Instructions

  • Begin by gently cleaning fresh button mushrooms with a damp paper towel, ensuring that all dirt and debris are removed. Next, delicately twist off the mushroom stems and discard them. With a small spoon, carefully scoop out some of the mushroom caps to make space for the flavorful stuffing.
  • In a small pan, melt rich and creamy butter over medium heat. Once melted, add crisp breadcrumbs and stir until they are coated in the delicious butter. Set this mixture aside for later use.
  • To create the filling, combine pungent garlic, the melted butter and breadcrumb mixture from step two, high-quality white wine, zesty lemon juice, and a pinch of salt and pepper to taste in a mixing bowl. Mix these ingredients together until they are well combined.
  • Carefully place the mushroom caps on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Use either a small spoon or your fingertips to fill each cap with the flavorful stuffing mixture.
  • Sprinkle a delightful Italian cheese blend on top of each stuffed mushroom. Drizzle with a touch of extra virgin olive oil and white wine for added flavor.
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake the stuffed mushrooms for approximately 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbling. For a golden brown finish, broil for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • Once removed from the oven, add a final touch of chopped green onions or chives as a garnish. Serve these delectable Cheesecake Factory Stuffed Mushrooms while hot and enjoy their irresistible flavors!

Notes

  • Experiment with different types of mushrooms for different flavors and textures.
  • If you prefer a crispy topping, broil the stuffed mushrooms for an additional 2-3 minutes before serving.
  • Serve with a side of marinara sauce for dipping.
  • For added protein, top each mushroom with cooked and crumbled Italian sausage before baking.
