4
tbsp
unsalted butter
Salt and pepper according to taste
6
tsp
chopped fresh dill
2
pounds
fresh salmon filet
4
tablespoon
basil pesto
Instructions
Heat a medium saucepan over medium heat and melt the butter. Season with salt and pepper.
Add the chopped fresh dill, stirring until everything is combined. Simmer for a few minutes to bring out the fragrant aroma of the dill.
Place your salmon filet in the pan and spoon pesto over it. Cover and let simmer for 8-10 minutes or until the fish is cooked through.
Turn off the heat and remove the lid. Let cool slightly before serving with your favorite sides such as roasted vegetables or a salad.
Notes
If you prefer a smoother pesto butter sauce, blend the sauce together in a blender or food processor before serving.
Make sure to use high-quality ingredients to get the most flavor out of your dish.
For crispy skin, place the salmon filet in a hot oven for 4-5 minutes and then finish cooking it with the pesto butter sauce on the stovetop.
For an extra touch, add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice to the finished dish before serving.
