Ginger Lemon Honey Tea Recipe for Sore Throat

Ingredients

  • Six lemons
  • 2 cup honey More or less as desired
  • 2 one-inch pieces of fresh ginger

Instructions

  • Start by boiling water in a pan on the stove.
  • Once boiled, add freshly grated ginger root and the juice of one lemon to the water.
  • Let this mixture simmer for 10 minutes over low heat, then turn off the heat and let it cool slightly.
  • Strain out the ginger chunks with a sieve.
  • Transfer the liquid to a mug and add honey (1 tablespoon should do).
  • Stir it until all the ingredients are incorporated.

Notes

  • For a stronger flavor, add more ginger or lemon to the infusion.
  • If you want to adjust the sweetness levels, use either more honey or substitute it with one of your favorite sweeteners for a unique twist.
  • To make a larger batch of tea, simply double the amount of ingredients used in this recipe.
  • For an extra zing, garnish your cup of tea with a few slices of lemon and a sprinkle of ground ginger.
  • For even more health benefits, try adding other ingredients such as turmeric or cinnamon to the infusion.
