Preheat your oven to 350°F before starting.
Place the shredded chicken and Velveeta slices into a large mixing bowl.
Thinly slice the jalapenos and incorporate them with the other ingredients in the bowl.
Take out a 9 x 13 inch baking dish, spread half of the tortilla chips onto its base.
Top the tortilla chips with the chicken and cheese mixture.
Chop the yellow onion into tiny pieces and spread it over the top of this layer.
Cover the ingredients below with the remaining tortilla chips.
Pour in a sufficient amount of chicken broth so that all elements are immersed equally.
Place in oven and bake for 25 minutes until it obtains a golden hue.
Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
