Instructions

  • In a medium skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until it is cooked through and no longer pink.
  • Add in the onion and garlic, and cook until the onion is softened and fragrant. Season with chili powder, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  • Stir in the vegetable oil to prevent sticking. Cook for 5 minutes until everything is combined.
  • Heat up your taco shells according to the package directions.
  • Fill each shell with some of the beef mixture and top with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, black olives (optional), jalapeños (optional), and sour cream (optional).
  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

-If you don’t like ground beef, try using ground turkey or chicken instead.
-For a vegan option, try mashed black beans or crumbled tofu in place of the beef.
-To make this dish even easier, you can use pre-made taco seasoning in lieu of the chili powder, paprika, and cumin.
-If you don’t have taco shells, you can also use soft flour tortillas or corn tortillas.
-For a quick fix, you can also buy pre-made tacos from the store.
-Be careful when adding jalapeños to your tacos – they can be quite spicy
