Ingredients

  • 6 hamburger buns
  • 2 lb ground beef or  ground chicken
  • 2/3 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 cup pitted kalamata olives chopped
  • 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 2/3 tbsp garlic powder or fresh chopped/mashed garlic
  • 8 tbsp Dukes Mayonnaise
  • 8 tbsp cup olive spread

Instructions

  • Heat the grill to a medium heat.
  • Form the beef into three patties and season with onion powder, garlic powder, and black pepper on both sides.
  • Grill the burgers for 4 minutes on each side.
  • Toast the hamburger buns lightly by grilling them while the burgers are cooking.
  • Spread mayonnaise on one side of each bun and olive spread on the other side.
  • Place burgers onto buns and top with chopped olives!

Notes

  • Don’t press down on your burgers while cooking them, this will make them dry and tough.
  • For an extra flavorful burger, add a few slices of bacon or thin onion rings to the top.
  • For an even more decadent burger, add a slice of cheese with the olives.
  • To get that classic diner flavor, try adding a few dashes of Worcestershire sauce to the beef before cooking.
