Equipment

  • 1 Cocktail Shaker

Ingredients

  • 90 ml of fresh grapefruit juice a zesty and tangy citrus juice that adds a burst of brightness and a refreshing element.
  • 2 bar spoons of Marionette Dry Cassis Liqueur a sophisticated and fruity liqueur that brings a deep berry note to the mix.
  • Crushed lilly pilly leaves adjust to your preference, fragrant and aromatic leaves that bring a unique and herbal twist to your cocktail, adjust the amount to your desired level of flavor.
  • 90 ml of Brookie's Dry Gin a handcrafted gin with a harmonious blend of botanicals, providing a refreshing and complex flavor profile.
  • 30 ml of sugar syrup a sweet and silky ingredient that adds a touch of sweetness and balances the flavors in the cocktail.

Instructions

  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
  • Add the Brookie’s Dry Gin, crushed lilly pilly leaves, sugar syrup, and fresh grapefruit juice to the shaker and shake vigorously for 10 seconds.
  • Strain into a tumbler filled with fresh ice cubes.
  • Float the Marionette Dry Cassis Liqueur over the top for a subtle sweetness.
  • Garnish with Lilly pilly leaves and enjoy!

Notes

  • I recommend using freshly squeezed grapefruit juice as it has more flavor than bottled varieties.
  • If you don’t have access to Marionette Dry Cassis Liqueur you can use other dry red liqueurs such as Cointreau.
  • If you don’t like the flavor of the Lilly pilly leaves, you can substitute them with any other type of herb or spice that you prefer.
