Take a large bowl and add butter, brown sugar, white sugar, and vanilla extract. Then use an electric mixer or hand mixer to whisk these ingredients. Set your mixer to medium-high and beat the batter for a few minutes, scraping down as needed. It will be a fluffy, combined mixture.
Add the eggs to the mix one at a time until they are thoroughly mixed.
In another large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
With the mixer running, add ⅓ of the flour mixture to the creamed butter until the dough forms. Add the chocolate chips to the mixture and fold them in gently.
Let the dough sit in the fridge for one hour.
Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease and line two large cookie trays with baking paper. This will ensure that your cookies do not stick to the tray and come out perfect every time.
Place the dough into balls on a baking sheet. Flatten the balls slightly with a spoon.
After 12 minutes, take the cookies out of the oven and let them cool down on the baking sheet for 10 minutes.
