Equipment

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh dill
  • 1/4 cup diced onions
  • 2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup diced dill pickles
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup diced pickles

Instructions

  • Begin by preparing all the necessary ingredients for Long John Silver’s tartar sauce. Chop fresh dill, dice onions, and pickles into small pieces to ensure a harmonious blend of flavors in every bite. Set aside. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the chopped fresh dill, diced onions, mayonnaise, lemon juice, salt, dill pickles, black pepper, and diced pickles. Stir all the ingredients until they are well combined, creating a creamy and flavorful base for your tartar sauce.
  • After thoroughly mixing the ingredients, you have two options – serve immediately or store for later use. If serving right away, transfer the tartar sauce to a serving dish and get ready to wow your taste buds. However, if you plan on using the sauce at a later time, carefully transfer it into an airtight container and store it in the refrigerator for optimal freshness.

Notes

  • For a creamier texture, add more mayonnaise.
  • Adjust the amount of dill and pickles to your desired taste.
  • Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
