Instructions
Begin by melting butter in a medium-large pot over low heat. Once melted, add onion and cook until it is soft and translucent (about 3 minutes).
Add garlic and cook for 1 minute more. Increase heat to medium-high and stir in heavy cream, Cajun seasoning, old bay seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, dried parsley and pepper to taste. Whisk constantly until ingredients are well incorporated and the sauce starts to thicken.
Finally, add a splash of lemon juice for acidity balance and remove from heat once desired thickness has been achieved.
Transfer the sauce to a serving dish or storage container and serve over your favorite dishes.
