Equipment

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 fresh garlic cloves minced
  • 8 cups uncooked macaroni
  • 8 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 cups milk
  • 16- ounce Monterey Jack cheese
  • 2 stick butter
  • 2 cups breadcrumbs

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add in breadcrumbs and stir constantly until they turn golden brown and crispy. Remove from heat and set aside for later use.
  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Cook the macaroni for 8-10 minutes or until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Add in sugar, pepper, salt, and minced garlic cloves. Cook for approximately 2 minutes until fragrant. Gradually stir in milk and add shredded cheddar cheese until smooth.
  • In a large casserole dish, layer half of the cooked macaroni on the bottom. Cover with half of the cheese sauce and add shredded Jack cheese on top. Repeat with the remaining macaroni and cheese sauce.
  • Sprinkle prepared bread crumbs over the dish and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and bubbly. Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your delicious MF Doom Mac and Cheese!

Notes

  • For added flavor, you can mix in some cooked bacon or diced ham with the macaroni and cheese before baking.
  • Make sure not to overcook the pasta as it will continue to cook in the oven.
  • Make sure to use freshly shredded cheese as pre-shredded cheese often contains added ingredients that can affect the texture and taste of the dish.
