Ingredients

  • 2-3 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 bundle of chopped chives
  • ½ cup bacon
  • ½-1 tsp tabasco sauce
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup pecans
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Rinse the chicken breasts and pat them dry with paper towels. Place the chicken in a baking dish.
  • In a small bowl, mix together all remaining ingredients (yogurt, cheese, garlic, chives, bacon, tabasco sauce, mayonnaise, pecans, salt, and pepper). Spread the mixture over the chicken breasts.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F in the center of the chicken. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • It’s best to use fresh ingredients for this recipe.
  • When baking the chicken, cover it with foil so it doesn’t dry out.
  • Make sure to check the internal temperature of the chicken as it cooks to make sure it is cooked through. It should reach 165 degrees F in the center.
  • If desired, you can top the dish with extra cheese and bacon before baking for an extra-special presentation.
