Ingredients

  • 1/8 teaspoon of garlic flakes contributing a savory and aromatic element, infusing the dressing with a subtle garlic essence
  • 1/2 teaspoon of dried parsley imparting a delicate and fresh herbal aroma, adding a hint of brightness to the dressing
  • 1/8 tablespoons of red wine vinegar offering a tangy and acidic note, enhancing the overall flavor profile and adding brightness to the dressing
  • 1/4 teaspoon of dried basil introducing a fragrant and slightly peppery taste, complementing the other herbs and elevating the overall flavor profile
  • 1/8 teaspoon of onion flakes providing a mild and sweet onion flavor, enhancing the overall savory notes of the dressing
  • 1/4 teaspoon of red chili flakes optional, offering a hint of heat and spice, providing a subtle kick to the dressing (Note: Red chili flakes are optional and can be adjusted or omitted based on personal preference)
  • 1/4 teaspoon of granulated sugar providing a touch of sweetness to balance the acidity and enhance the overall flavor harmony of the dressing
  • 3/8 cup of soybean oil adding a smooth and neutral base to the dressing, providing a light and silky texture to coat salads or vegetables
  • 1/8 teaspoon of MSG optional, adding a savory and umami depth to the dressing, intensifying the overall flavor experience (Note: MSG is optional and can be omitted if preferred)
  • 1/4 teaspoon of dried oregano offering a robust and earthy flavor, adding a Mediterranean touch to the dressing
  • 1/2 teaspoon of kosher salt seasoning the dressing and enhancing the flavors of the other ingredients, ensuring a well-balanced taste
  • 1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard bringing a sharp and robust taste, adding depth and complexity to the dressing

Instructions

  • Pour the soybean oil, red wine vinegar, dried basil, dried oregano, granulated sugar, Dijon mustard, garlic flakes, onion flakes, dried parsley, kosher salt, MSG (if using), and red chili flakes into the blender.
  • Cover the blender and blend the ingredients on medium speed until the mixture is smooth and well combined. This should take approximately 1-2 minutes.
Transfer the freshly made vinaigrette into a mason jar or any other airtight container. Seal it tightly to preserve its flavors.

Notes

  • For a smoother vinaigrette, soak the dried herbs in the red wine vinegar for about 10 minutes before blending.
  • If you prefer a milder flavor, reduce the amount of red chili flakes or omit them altogether.
  • For a creamier texture, add a teaspoon of Greek yogurt or mayonnaise to the vinaigrette.
