Equipment

  • bowl
  • container

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon Hungarian sweet Paprika
  • 1 tablespoon Authentic Chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon Moroccan Cumin
  • 1 tablespoon Aged garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon Mesquite-smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon Golden onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Malabar Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Pink Himalayan Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Rich brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Fragrant Dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon Mediterranean Dried oregano

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, combine all the spices and mix together.
  • Once mixed, transfer the rub to an airtight container and store it in a cool, dry place. This will help retain flavor and keep it fresh for longer.
  • When ready to use the rub, season the pork or poultry generously with it.
  • Once seasoned, cook the meat as desired. We recommend grilling or smoking for an extra smoky flavor!

Notes

  • For a spicier rub, add more chili powder and black pepper to your mix.
  • You can also add a pinch of cayenne pepper to give your rub an extra kick.
  • For a sweeter flavor, add more brown sugar and smoked paprika to the mix.
  • The longer you let the rub sit on the meat, the deeper the flavors will penetrate. We recommend seasoning and letting it sit for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
  • To get the most flavor out of your rub, cook the meat over indirect heat on a medium-low setting for best results.
  • You can also add more seasonings such as dried herbs or citrus zest to give your pork and poultry an extra boost of flavor!
