Tangy Tomato Dressing Recipe

Equipment

  • 1 Medium sized bowl
  • 1 jar or container

Ingredients

  • 6 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 3 tbsp white vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp granulated garlic
  • 7 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 3/4 tsp  salt
  • 1/4 tsp  granulated onion
  • 1/4 tsp  dried thyme
  • 1/8 tsp  dried basil
  • 1 cup water
  • 6 oz can tomato paste
  • 1/8 tsp   ground red pepper cayenne
  • 1/8 tsp  finely ground black pepper

Instructions

  • In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the tomato paste, apple cider vinegar, and white vinegar until completely combined.
  • Then add the water, sugar, salt, granulated onion, granulated garlic, thyme, red pepper (cayenne), basil and black pepper to the mixture and whisk until everything is fully incorporated.
  • Pour the dressing into a jar or container and store it in the refrigerator for up to one week.

Notes

– You can adjust the sugar, salt, spices, and herbs to your own personal taste preferences.
– For a chunkier texture, add some diced tomatoes or tomato puree to the mix before whisking everything together. 
– This Tangy Tomato Dressing is great on salads, sandwiches, wraps and more!
– If you want an even richer flavor, try adding a little Worcestershire sauce as well.
