  • Guacamole for garnish adjust to taste – Creamy and rich guacamole to complement the pizza.
  • Chopped Cilantro for garnish adjust to taste – Fresh cilantro for a burst of herbaceous freshness.
  • 1/2 Pizza Traditional Cheese – A half portion of classic cheese pizza known for its perfect blend of flavors.
  • Pico de Gallo for garnish adjust to taste – A zesty and chunky salsa topping with tomatoes, onions, and peppers.

Chile Lime Steak (Sauce):

  • 1.5 tablespoons Mayonnaise – Creating a rich and luscious base for the sauce.
  • 1 teaspoon Hot Sauce – Adding a fiery kick to elevate the flavors.
  • 3/4 medium Lime juiced – Infusing the sauce with the refreshing tang of lime.
  • 1.5 tablespoons Sour Cream – Providing a velvety and creamy texture to the sauce.

Instructions

  • Begin by marinating the steak in a flavorful blend of fresh cilantro, canola oil, minced garlic, orange juice, jalapeño puree, kosher salt, and lime juice. Allow it to rest for 30 minutes to an hour in the refrigerator to infuse all the delicious flavors.
  • Once marinated, heat your grill or cast-iron skillet on medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and place it onto the hot surface, cooking for 4-5 minutes on each side until perfectly cooked to your liking.
  • While the steak is grilling, prepare a zesty chile-lime sauce by combining mayonnaise, hot sauce, lime juice, and sour cream in a small mixing bowl. Set it aside to use as a base for the pizza.
  • Once the steak is cooked, let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Meanwhile, preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit and place a pre-made traditional cheese pizza crust on a baking sheet.
  • Assemble your pizza by spreading the chile-lime sauce evenly on the crust, leaving a little room around the edges. Top it with sliced carne asada, tangy pickled red onions, creamy guacamole, and zesty pico de gallo. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving hot.

Notes

  • For a smokier flavor, add a touch of smoked paprika to the marinade.
  • Don’t have time to marinate? No problem! You can also use store-bought carne asada or your own homemade version for this pizza.
  • Experiment with different toppings such as grilled corn, black beans, or even pineapple for a unique twist.
