Equipment

  • wooden spoon or spatula
  • Medium mixing bowls
  • Electric beater

Ingredients

  • 1 cup whipped heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup Mountain Dew
  • 1/2 can (7 ounces) of sweetened condensed milk (such as Carnation)
  • Green food coloring more or less optional

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together heavy cream and food coloring until light and fluffy.
  • Gently pour in the Mountain Dew and sweetened condensed milk, whisking until all ingredients are combined.
  • Cover the bowl and place it in the refrigerator for 1 hour to chill.
  • Once chilled, pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's directions.
  • When done churning, transfer to a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 2 hours.
  • Serve your homemade Mountain Dew Ice Cream with your favorite toppings or enjoy it as is!

Notes

-To get the classic Mountain Dew flavor, use one cup of the original Mountain Dew soft drink. You can also experiment with other flavors for a unique twist!
-For a richer taste and creamier texture, try substituting some or all of the heavy cream with evaporated milk.
-If you don't have an ice cream maker, you can freeze the mixture in an airtight container and let it set overnight. The next day, simply scoop it into individual servings!
