Equipment

Ingredients

  • 4 slices country loaf
  • 3 tsp Pure Honey
  • 2 eggs
  • 6 tsp Melted Butter
  • Salt to taste
  • 8 tsbp half-and-half

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • In a medium bowl whisk together the half-and-half, eggs, honey, and salt until combined; set aside.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon of butter and melt. Dip 2 slices of bread into the egg mixture, coating both sides; place in the hot skillet. Cook until golden brown on both sides, about 4 minutes per side. Remove to an oven-safe plate and keep warm while you finish cooking the rest of the French toast.
  • Repeat with the remaining butter and bread slices. Serve warm with your favorite toppings.

Notes

  • Use day-old or stale bread for the best results. This will help prevent your French toast from becoming soggy.
  • If you prefer a sweeter flavor, add 1-2 tablespoons of brown sugar to the egg mixture.
  • For a crunchy texture, sprinkle some ground cinnamon and nutmeg onto each slice of bread before dipping it into the egg mixture.
  • For a healthier option, use whole wheat bread or other lower-calorie options.
