Equipment

  • strainer
  • funnel

Ingredients

  • 5 pcs. cinnamon sticks
  • 4 cups apple cider
  • 1 1/2 cups Everclear
  • 4 cups apple juice
  • 1/2 cups sugar

Instructions

  • Combine the ingredients
In a large pot, combine the apple juice, apple cider, sugar and cinnamon sticks.
  • Heat and stir
Heat the mixture over medium heat until it comes to a gentle boil. Stir often to ensure that all of the ingredients are completely dissolved.
  • Add Everclear
Once the mixture has come to a boil, reduce the heat and add the Everclear. Stir until it's been fully incorporated into the mixture.
  • Cool and serve
Allow the moonshine to cool before serving. Enjoy your homemade Apple Moonshine Mash!

Notes

  • If you want to give your moonshine an even more robust apple flavor, try adding a few drops of apple extract or a few dashes of apple bitters.
  • If you want to make it sweeter, add more sugar. But be careful not to overdo it!
  • For those who don't care for the strong alcohol taste, feel free to reduce the amount of Everclear.
  • The longer you let the moonshine sit, the more flavorful it will be. If you can wait, let it sit for at least 24 hours before serving.
