Equipment

  • Small bowl
  • roasting pan

Ingredients

  • 2 chunk 5 lbs Sirloin Tip Roast
  • 8 cloves of Fresh Garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Thyme
  • 1 tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Salt
  • 2 tsp of Garlic Powder
  • 1 stick of Melted Butter
  • 2 tsp of Onion Powder
  • 2 teaspoons of Black Pepper
  • 2 1/2 tbsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1 tsp of dried oregano

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
  • In a small bowl, mix together melted butter, thyme, oregano, cayenne pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, and salt.
  • Generously rub the roast with butter. Then, rub over the entire surface of the roast, making sure to cover all sides.
  • Place the roast on a roasting pan and put it in the preheated oven. Let it cook for two hours or until a meat thermometer reads 140 degrees F.
  • Once it's cooked, take the roast out of the oven and let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
  • Slice the roast into thin slices and serve with your favorite sides.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add crushed garlic cloves to the dry rub.
  • To make sure that your roast is perfectly cooked, use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the meat before slicing and serving it.
  • If you don’t have a roasting pan, you can use a baking sheet instead – just make sure to add some extra butter to prevent the meat from sticking.
