  • Skillet
  •  Stirrer

  • 2 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 Pound Potatoes
  • 5 Carrot
  • 4 Celery
  • 2 Cups Beef Broth
  • 2 tablespoon Pot Roast Seasoning
  • 1 Cup Red Wine

  • 3 Pound Beef Chuck Roast
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic
  • 1 Cup Yellow Onion
  • 2 Bay Leaves
  • 2 Sprigs of Fresh Thyme

  • Start by drying the Chuck roast with paper towels and season generously with the pot roast seasoning.
  • Heat a large saucepan over medium-high heat and add the butter and olive oil. Once heated, add the roast to the pan and brown on all sides, about 5 minutes per side.
  • Once the roast is browned, shred it, add the potatoes, carrots, celery, beef broth, red wine, garlic, yellow onion, and bay leaves. Cook until the meat is very tender and the vegetables are cooked through. It will take approximately 3 hours.
  • Once the roast is cooked, remove it from the pan and let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.

  • Use high-quality ingredients for the best flavor and texture.
  • Make sure to brown the roast on all sides before adding it to the slow cooker. This helps to lock in the flavor and ensure that the roast is cooked evenly.
  • Make sure not to overcook the beef, as this will make it tough and dry.
  • If you don't have a slow cooker, you can also make this dish in the oven by baking it at 350°F for 2-3 hours.
  • You can also add other vegetables to the dish such as mushrooms or bell peppers if desired.
  • Serve with a side of mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables for a complete meal!
