Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of water
  • 1/2 teaspoon of hand-harvested onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of aromatic celery salt
  • 1/4 cup of white/cider vinegar
  • 1/16 cup of velvety cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons of artisanal margarine/butter
  • 1/2 cup of golden nectar of the sugar cane
  • 1/2 teaspoon of pristine sea salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon of celery seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Mix the water and cornstarch in a medium-sized saucepan until they are well blended.
  • Heat the pan over medium-high heat and add vinegar, sugar, onion powder, salt, butter/margarine and black pepper to the mixture.
  • Stir continuously until all ingredients have been incorporated and the dressing thickens.
  • Add celery salt, and celery seeds and mix until all ingredients have been combined together.
  • Remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool down before transferring it into a container with an airtight lid.
  • Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.

Notes

-You can adjust the amount of ingredients to your own liking.
-Be sure to stir continuously while heating. Otherwise, the dressing will become lumpy.
-If you want a thinner consistency, add more water and mix it well.
-For a spicier dressing, add some cayenne pepper or hot sauce.
-For a vegan version of this dressing, use vegan margarine and mayonnaise instead of butter and regular mayonnaise.
-The dressing will keep for up to 3 weeks when stored in the refrigerator. We recommend using a container with an airtight lid.
-Feel free to add more spices or herbs like garlic powder, smoked paprika or oregano to create your own unique flavor.
-You can also add herbs like parsley or dill for an extra kick of flavor.
-This dressing can be used as a marinade, salad dressing or dip.
-If you want a thicker consistency, add more cornstarch and mix it well.
-Be sure to taste the dressing and adjust the seasonings as needed.
