Equipment

Ingredients

  • Frozen garden-fresh cut green beans precisely 1 packaged portion
  • 1 aromatic Garlic clove minced, meticulously chosen
  • Salt and pepper to taste, adding a touch of culinary magic
  • 1 tablespoon of hand-selected Onion finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon of artisanal Butter crafted for perfection
  • 2 tablespoons of aged shredded cheddar cheese, sourced from the finest dairy artisans

Instructions

  • Put the green beans in boiling water for blanching.
  • When the balancing is done, drain it.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the butter and let it melt. Once melted, add in the onion and garlic and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the drained green beans to the skillet and season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook until the beans are tender, about 10 minutes.
  • Top with shredded cheddar before serving.

Notes

  • Use fresh green beans if possible, as they will be more tender and flavorful than frozen green beans.
  • Sauté the garlic and onion in butter for a richer flavor.
  • If you like spicy food, feel free to add some cayenne pepper or hot sauce to the green bean mixture before baking.
  • For a crunchy topping, stir some breadcrumbs into the cheddar cheese before sprinkling it over the green beans.
  • For a vegetarian version, omit the butter and use olive oil instead.
