1Cupunsalted butter or margarine (cold, and cubed)
6Cupsbuttermilk or whole milk
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
In a medium-sized saucepan, melt the butter or margarine over low heat. Add in the flour and stir until it is blended together. Gradually add in the milk, stirring constantly until it becomes thick and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Place the beef chuck roast in a roasting pan and pour the creamy sauce over it. Bake in a preheated oven for 1-2 hours.
Remove from the oven and let cool before slicing into thin slices.
Notes
To get the best flavor, use a good quality beef chuck roast.
If desired, you can add some garlic or onion powder to give it an extra kick of flavor.
