Instructions
Brown the beefIn a large pot over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef. Use a wooden spoon to break up the meat into small pieces. Once it is fully cooked through, remove the beef from the pot and set aside.
Saute vegetablesAdd the onion and garlic to the pot and sauté until they are fragrant and begin to soften, about 5 minutes.
Add remaining ingredientsAdd the water, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, yellow mustard, ketchup, chili powder, sweet paprika, salt and pepper to the pot and stir to combine. Bring the mixture to a boil then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add cooked beefOnce the chili has simmered, add the cooked ground beef to the pot and stir to combine. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
Serve!Serve your hot dog chili over warm buns with your favorite toppings.

Feel free to adjust the spices in this chili recipe as desired. You can play around with adding more or less of each spice depending on how you like your chili.
To make a vegetarian version of this chili, simply omit the ground beef and add an additional 8 ounces of tomato sauce.
If you want a thinner chili, add an additional 1/3 cup of water and simmer for an additional 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
