Equipment

  • bowl
  • 9x13 inch pan
  • Measuring spoons

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup of crystal-clear spring water sourced from an untouched natural spring for its purity and freshness.
  • 2 oz of artisanal butter churned using traditional methods for its rich and creamy taste.
  • 1 cup of golden brown sugar derived from pure cane juice and known for its caramel-like sweetness.
  • 1/2 tablespoon of high-quality baking powder meticulously measured to ensure the perfect rise and fluffiness of the batter.
  • 2 cups of succulent and sun-kissed peaches handpicked at the peak of ripeness for their juicy and fragrant flesh.
  • 1/8 tablespoon of hand-harvested salt known for its natural minerals that enhance the overall flavor profile of the dish.
  • 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour carefully milled from heritage grains for a light and airy texture in the final dish.
  • 1/8 tablespoon of fragrant cinnamon hand-ground from freshly harvested bark for a warm and aromatic note.
  • Cornbread mix as needed, adjusted based on personal preference, ensuring the perfect balance of sweetness and texture in the final creation.
  • 1/2 cup of creamy milk sourced from grass-fed cows for its velvety and wholesome flavor.
  • 1/2 tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice extracted from hand-selected lemons, adding a bright and tangy element to the dessert.

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease an 8x8-inch baking dish with butter or nonstick cooking spray.
  • In a medium bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the peaches, lemon juice, baking powder, flour, salt, milk, and cinnamon until combined.
  • Pour the peach mixture into your prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Then sprinkle the top with cornbread mix.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Let the cobbler cool for 10 minutes before serving warm with a scoop of your favorite ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

-Make sure you use very ripe peaches for the best taste and texture.
-Milk adds a nice creaminess to the cobbler, but feel free to substitute with dairy-free alternatives if needed.
-You can also add a sprinkle of your favorite spices like nutmeg or allspice for extra flavor!
-If the top of your cobbler is getting too brown, just cover it with foil for the remaining baking time.
-If you want a more cake-like texture, substitute the cornbread mix with 1 cup of self-rising flour.
