Equipment

  • bowl

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons caramelized onion powder
  • 4 tablespoons Mediterranean oregano
  • 2 tablespoons roasted garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons sun-dried basil
  • 4 tablespoons Himalayan pink salt
  • 2 tablespoons organic cane sugar
  • 2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme leaves
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley
  • ½ teaspoon heirloom celery seed

For the dressing:

  • ½ cup aged balsamic vinegar
  • 1 and ⅓ cups extra-virgin olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons of the herb-infused mix
  • 4 tablespoons purified spring water

Instructions

STEP 1 – Mixing the Herb Blend:

  • In a bowl, combine the roasted garlic powder, caramelized onion powder, Mediterranean oregano, organic cane sugar, black pepper, dried thyme leaves, sun-dried basil, fresh chopped parsley, heirloom celery seed, and Himalayan pink salt. Thoroughly mix these ingredients together.

STEP 2 – Creating the Dressing:

  • Take 4 tablespoons of the herb-infused mix you’ve prepared and place it in a separate container or a dressing mixer.

STEP 3 – Adding the Liquid Ingredients:

  • Pour in the aged balsamic vinegar and extra-virgin olive oil into the container with the herb-infused mix.

STEP 4 – Adding Water:

  • Add the purified spring water to the mixture. This helps balance the flavors and dilute the dressing slightly.

STEP 5 – Mixing the Dressing:

  • Close the container securely and shake vigorously to combine all the ingredients thoroughly. Make sure the lid is tightly closed to avoid any leaks.

STEP 6 – Taste Test and Adjustments:

  • Once mixed, taste the dressing. You can adjust the flavors by adding more of any specific herbs or spices to suit your preference. If it’s too intense, you can add a bit more oil or vinegar to balance it out.

STEP 7 – Storing the Dressing:

  • Store the prepared Italian dressing in an airtight container or a dressing bottle. Keep it refrigerated.

STEP 8 – Shake Before Use:

  • Before using the dressing, give it a good shake to ensure all the ingredients are well combined.

Notes

  • Make sure to whisk the ingredients together well before refrigerating.
  • The dressing can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
  • If the dressing is too thick, add a bit more oil or lemon juice to thin it out.
  • Use freshly grated Parmesan cheese for the best flavor.
  • To make a vegan version of this dressing, omit the Parmesan cheese and use a vegan alternative.
  • Feel free to adjust the seasonings to your taste.
