Equipment

  • large skillet
  • masher.

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe Avocado contributing a creamy and buttery texture that complements the other ingredients.
  • 1/4 diced Onion providing a touch of sharpness and crunch to the overall dish.
  • 1/2 block 4 oz of Velveeta Cheese, melting into a smooth, velvety sauce that coats each bite with cheesy goodness.
  • 1 diced Green Chili infusing a mild yet distinctive heat to the dish.
  • 8 oz of Refried Beans adding a creamy and savory element to the recipe.
  • Evaporated Milk lending a rich and creamy consistency to the sauce, creating a luxurious and indulgent taste.
  • 1/2 lb of Ground Beef bringing a hearty and savory component to the dish.
  • 1 diced Tomato providing a burst of fresh and juicy flavor.
  • Taco Seasoning imparting a blend of aromatic spices that elevate the flavors with a hint of Mexican-inspired zest.

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef until it is browned. Drain off any excess fat and add the taco seasoning mix.
  • Add the diced tomatoes, green chili, and refried beans to the skillet. Mix well and cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • In a separate bowl, mash the avocados with a fork until they are smooth. Add in the evaporated milk and mix until combined.
  • Add the mashed avocado mixture to the skillet with the ground beef and other ingredients. Mix until everything is well combined and cook for an additional 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Once everything is cooked through, add in the Velveeta cheese and diced onion. Stir until the cheese is melted and everything is well combined. Serve it.

Notes

  • For a vegan version of this dip, you can use vegan cheese in place of the Velveeta.
  • If you prefer a spicier dip, add more taco seasoning or diced jalapenos to the mix.
  • If you want to make it even creamier, you can add a bit of sour cream or Greek yogurt.
  • For an extra special presentation, top your dip with diced tomatoes and fresh cilantro before serving.
  • To make it a full meal, add the dip to taco shells and top with lettuce, diced tomatoes, and cheese.
