Equipment

  • 1 Pie plate
  • 1 medium bowl, etc.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 tsp almond extract
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup Bisquick baking mix
  • 2 tbsp margarine or butter softened
  • 1 21 ounce can cherry pie filling

STREUSEL

  • 2 tbsp margarine or butter firm
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon ground
  • 1/2 cup Bisquick baking mix
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar

Instructions

Step 1:

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Step 2:

  • Grease a 9-inch pie plate to ensure easy removal once the pie is baked.

Step 3:

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the milk, softened margarine or butter, almond extract, eggs, Bisquick baking mix, and sugar until smooth and well combined.

Step 4:

  • Pour the mixture into the greased pie plate, spreading it evenly.

Step 5:

  • Drop spoonfuls of the cherry pie filling evenly over the surface of the pie mixture.

Step 6:

  • In a separate bowl, prepare the streusel topping by combining firm margarine or butter, Bisquick baking mix, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon. Use a fork or your fingers to blend the ingredients until crumbly.

Step 7:

  • Sprinkle the streusel mixture over the cherry pie filling, ensuring an even distribution.

Step 8:

  • Bake the pie for approximately 50-55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. The top should have a golden-brown hue, and your kitchen will be filled with the tempting aroma of a freshly baked pie.

Step 9:

  • Allow the pie to cool for a few minutes before serving. For an added touch of indulgence, serve a warm slice with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of freshly whipped cream. Enjoy!
