Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a large bowl, mix together the brown sugar, granulated sugar and salted butter. Beat using a mixer until it is smooth and creamy.
Now, add in the eggs and vanilla extract. Beat at medium speed until well combined.
Next, add the baking soda and salt. Slowly mix until everything is well combined, and then add flour gradually and beat at a low speed until everything is mixed in.
Now, mix the chocolate chips and nuts with a spoon or spatula into the batter. Nuts are the optional ingredient, but we think it gives the cookies a nice crunch.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and then drop tablespoons of batter onto the sheet using a cookie scoop. Make sure to leave at least 2 inches of space between each cookie, as they will spread during baking.
Put the baking sheet in the oven and bake for about 12 minutes, or until the cookies are lightly golden brown. Do not over bake them!
Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before serving.
Now, it’s time to enjoy this delicious Kirkland chocolate chip cookie! You can eat them immediately or store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
