Equipment

  • roasting pan
  • bowl

Ingredients

  • 1/2 tablespoon of Black Pepper adding a touch of spiciness and a mild heat to the roast, elevating the overall flavor profile and providing a pleasant kick to each bite.
  • 1/2 tablespoon of Garlic Powder imparting a savory and aromatic note to the roast, infusing it with a subtle hint of garlicky goodness that complements the beef perfectly.
  • 1/2 tablespoon of Salt enhancing the natural flavors of the meat and helping to tenderize it, ensuring a well-seasoned and savory taste throughout.
  • 2 pounds of Prime Rib Roast a premium and succulent cut of beef known for its marbling and tenderness, promising a melt-in-your-mouth experience and a rich, beefy flavor.

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Make a marinade mixture using salt, garlic powder, black pepper and 1 teaspoon of water.
  • Apply it to the roast. Rub the roast with the spices, making sure to cover it completely.
  • Place roast in a shallow roasting pan and cover tightly with aluminum foil.
  • Roast for 90 minutes or until the roast’s internal temperature registers 130-135 degrees F on a meat thermometer.
  • Remove the roast from the oven, and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  • Slice the roast and serve with your favorite sides!

Notes

• Be sure to monitor the roast’s internal temperature closely, as overcooking can lead to a tough end product.
• For added flavor, consider adding herbs and spices to the rub before baking.
• Let the roast rest for 10 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat.
• For a sweeter version of this recipe, use brown sugar instead of white sugar.
• To add some crunchiness, mix in some chopped walnuts or almonds into the batter before baking.
• For a more unique flavor, try adding some orange peel or dried cranberries to the batter.
• To make the recipe vegan-friendly, use melted non-dairy butter instead of regular butter.
