Instructions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a 9-inch pie pan.
Thaw the frozen pie crust according to package instructions.
In a large bowl, combine cake mix, eggs, and oil (as per the instructions on the box). Spread half of the batter into the prepared pan.
Place the pie crust over the cake layer. Carefully spread the remaining cake batter onto the top of the pie crust. Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over the top of the cake batter.
