  • cooking spray
  • bowl
  • beater

Ingredients

  • 1/2 tablespoon of sugar adding a hint of sweetness to balance the savory ingredients
  • 3/4 cup of luscious half-and-half adding a touch of creaminess
  • A pinch of kosher salt enhancing the overall taste and seasoning of the dish.
  • 1/2 cup of shredded white Cheddar contributing a delightful cheesy flavor
  • 2 tablespoons of rich and creamy unsalted butter
  • One 14-ounce package of frozen corn bringing a burst of freshness and natural sweetness
  • 1.5 large eggs creating a velvety and smooth texture when combined
  • 3/4 cup of coarsely crushed buttery crackers providing a crunchy and buttery element

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F. Place a large skillet over medium heat and melt the butter.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, half-and-half, and sugar until combined. Add the corn, crackers, sugar, salt, and cheese and mix it properly.
  • Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or nonstick cooking spray. Pour the corn mixture into the greased baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheese & cracker over the corn mixture.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is lightly golden brown and the center is set. Remove from oven and let cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Make sure that all of the ingredients are at room temperature before you begin cooking. This will help ensure everything combines together properly and the texture is creamy and smooth.
  • When adding the buttery crackers, make sure to crush them into smaller pieces so they blend better with the other ingredients.
  • Adjust the seasoning to your liking by adding more salt, sugar, or pepper if desired.
