Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1/8 tablespoons of sugar contributing a touch of sweetness that enhances the overall flavor profile of the dish.
  • 3/4 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips melting into gooey pockets of chocolatey goodness, creating a luscious and indulgent element within the dessert.
  • 1/8 tablespoons of brown sugar offering a subtle caramel-like note that adds depth and complexity to the dessert.
  • 1/2 11 ounce refrigerated thin crust pizza dough, providing a crispy and light base that serves as the foundation for this delightful dessert creation.
  • 1/2 15.25 ounce yellow cake mix, lending a sweet and moist texture to the dessert, infusing it with the classic flavors of a cake.
  • 1/2 cup of butter 1 stick, melted, adding richness and a buttery essence that enhances the overall decadence of the treat.

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  • Roll out the refrigerated thin-crust dough on a lightly floured surface. Place it on a greased baking sheet and set aside.
  • Spread the yellow cake mix evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
  • Melt the butter in a saucepan on low heat or in the microwave. Stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until they are completely coated with butter. Spread this mixture evenly over the pizza crust.
  • Sprinkle the sugars evenly over the chocolate chip layer.
  • Bake in a preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the edges are golden brown. Allow to cool before cutting into wedges and serving.

Notes

  • You can use any type of store-bought pizza dough for this.
  • If you prefer a sweeter crust, you can add more sugar or brown sugar to the recipe.
  • If you want a crispier crust, bake it for an extra few minutes in the oven.
  • Feel free to substitute different types of chocolate chips or add nuts, dried fruit, or other ingredients to the topping.
  • Be sure to allow the pizza to cool before cutting and serving. This will help ensure that it retains its shape when served.
  • You can also use this recipe as a base for more creative combinations such as peanut butter and jelly, apples and cinnamon, or caramel and banana. Get creative and have fun!
  • For a more traditional pizza experience, just leave out the chocolate chips and use your favorite sauce, cheese, and adding.
