Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of high-quality lean ground beef
  • 1/4 cup of finely grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup of finely chopped onion adding a subtle sweetness
  • 1 cup of Progresso™ Italian Style Bread Crumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/8 teaspoon of freshly ground pepper
  • 1 jar 14 oz. of luscious tomato pasta sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, eggs, onion and pepper; mix until blended.
  • Shape the mixture into an 8-inch loaf on a greased baking sheet. Bake 30 minutes.
  • Spread tomato sauce over top of the meatloaf. Bake an additional 30 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 160°F.
  • Let stand for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • You can also add garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup or mustard to your liking.
  • You can also change up the type of pasta sauce used such as marinara sauce or Alfredo sauce.
