  • 1/2 teaspoon of chili flakes offering a fiery and zesty heat that brings a bold and spicy kick to the sauce, adding a tantalizing and fiery element to your dish.
  • 1/2 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce contributing a salty and savory umami flavor that enhances the depth and richness of the sauce.
  • 1/2 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce providing a tangy and slightly sweet flavor that adds complexity and depth to the sauce, bringing a savory and robust taste to the dish.

  • 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper providing a fiery and intense heat that adds a bold and spicy kick to the sauce, bringing a touch of heat and excitement to your dish.
  • 1/2 teaspoon of smoked paprika infusing the sauce with a smoky and robust flavor, adding depth and complexity to the overall taste
  • 1 sun-dried tomato providing an intense and concentrated tomato flavor that adds a robust and tangy element to the sauce, infusing it with a rich and savory taste.
  • 1/2 tablespoon of tomato paste adding a concentrated and rich tomato flavor that deepens the taste and enhances the overall richness of the sauce.
  • 1.5 red bell peppers roasted, offering a smoky and sweet flavor that adds depth and complexity to the sauce, providing a vibrant and bold color to the dish.
  • 1/2 teaspoon of white vinegar adding a subtle tang and acidity to the sauce, balancing the flavors and brightening the overall taste.

Instructions

  • Start by roasting the red bell peppers. You can do this by placing them on a baking sheet and broiling them in the oven until the skin turns black and charred. Once roasted, remove the peppers from the oven and let them cool. Peel off the blackened skin and discard the seeds and stem. Set aside the roasted bell peppers.
  • In a blender, combine the roasted red bell peppers, sun-dried tomatoes, water, salt, white vinegar, lemon juice, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, smoked paprika, tomato paste, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, maple syrup, celery seeds, black pepper, chili flakes, and nutmeg. Blend the ingredients until you achieve a smooth and creamy consistency.
  • Taste the sauce and adjust the seasonings according to your preference. Transfer the sauce to a serving dish. You can serve it immediately, but for enhanced flavor, refrigerate it for a couple of hours to allow the flavors to meld together.

Notes

  • You can use store-bought roasted red bell peppers instead of roasting them yourself to save time. Just ensure they are packed in water or oil, not vinegar.
  • Adjust the spiciness of the sauce according to your taste preferences. Start with smaller amounts of cayenne pepper and chili flakes and gradually increase as desired.
  • If you prefer a milder version, you can remove the seeds and membranes from the roasted red bell peppers before blending them.
